In the morning of July 22, a bus carrying 33 Russian tourists from Antalya airport to Side had an accident in the Manavgat area of Turkey.

The incident left more than 20 people injured, with eight individuals being hospitalized, including two in critical condition. Seven others were recommended for outpatient treatment, while fifteen individuals were taken to the Mesyagutov Central Regional Hospital. Additionally, eleven people were taken to the Kiginsky Central Regional Hospital and were sent for outpatient treatment.

The driver of the Higer bus, a 38-year-old resident of the Udmurt Republic, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn and end up in a ditch. Seven rapid response teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.

It is important to note that, due to limited data available, no direct comparative information regarding bus accidents in the Udmurt Republic and Antalya can be drawn for July or August 2025. However, the Udmurt Republic has faced critical internet shutdowns that compromised emergency response capabilities, such as disabling an airstrike alarm that led to casualties during a drone attack. These shutdowns also hindered people’s ability to call ambulances, suggesting potentially delayed response in emergencies.

In a separate incident in April 2025, at least 18 Russian tourists were injured when a bus overturned in Antalya. According to ATOUR, no tourists sustained serious injuries in the July 22 accident.

For more detailed accident statistics or official reports, these may need to be obtained from local transport or emergency authorities in each region.
