Wiesbaden Bus Reroutes: Gustav-Stresemann-Ring Closure Affects Multiple Lines
Several bus lines in Wiesbaden are currently experiencing reroutes due to the closure of Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, which began in early August 2025 and is scheduled to continue through mid-August. The affected lines include 3, 6, 22, 27, 28, 33, 37, 45, and 49.
Passengers on these lines should expect that their usual routes via Gustav-Stresemann-Ring will be changed, possibly requiring them to board or alight at different stops or travel a longer path around the closure.
For example, lines 22 and 27 (Direction: Oberjosbach / HSK / August-Bebel-Straße) start at the "Brunhildenstraße" stop and continue via Weidenbornstraße and Mainzer Straße, then via Siegfriedring and Hasengartenstraße. However, after Hasengartenstraße, these lines return to their regular routes. Line 27 (Destination: Leisure Pool) will reroute from "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Weidenbornstraße, and Hasengartenstraße. Lines 3 and 33 will run in parallel with Line 27 (Leisure Pool) to Hasengartenstraße, after which they will return to their regular routes.
Lines 16, 28, 37, 45 (Direction: South Cemetery, Mainz, Nordenstadt, Raiffeisenplatz) reroute from "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Welfenstraße, Weidenbornstraße, Brunhildenstraße, and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring. Line 27 (Destination: Vocational School Center) will not provide service to the regular destination "Vocational School Center".
In addition to Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, the closure of Patrickstraße also affects lines 37 and 49, among others. A related but separate traffic regulation on Rheingaustraße affects different lines but does not directly impact lines 3, 6, 22, 27, 28, 33, 37, 45, or 49 except in how overall traffic patterns may be adjusted.
For precise reroute maps, stop changes, and timings, ESWE Verkehr’s official site advises checking their interactive network map and detour notices for the latest updates. Passengers should consult the ESWE Verkehr website or app for the most current live information and be prepared for alternate boarding points or temporary bus stops during this period.
