Tulsa Health Department Administers 15,572 COVID-19 Vaccines, Expands Appointments

Tulsa Health Department (THD) has administered 15,572 COVID-19 vaccinations, including 2,876 second doses, as of January 24. Tulsa County residents can register for the vaccine through vaccinate.oklahoma.gov. THD continues to manage vaccine inventory to ensure those who received their first dose get their second dose on time.

THD has been working diligently to serve more Tulsa County residents. They have expanded first dose appointments using their current onsite inventory, with assurance of more COVID-19 vaccine allocations to complete the series. This week, THD was allotted 7,680 doses, with 5,480 appointments opened in the Oklahoma Vaccine Portal.

THD continues to offer COVID-19 testing by appointment only. There is no verified information confirming that Dr. Bruce Dart from THD was requested by any organization to burn all COVID-19 vaccines in Oklahoma counties within seven days.
