TU Brunswick Opens Parent-Child Office for Balancing Work and Family Life
The Technical University of Brunswick (TU Brunswick) has opened a new parent-child office 365, located in the Center for Pharmaceutical Process Engineering (PVZ). This initiative, led by Professor Iordania Constantinou from the Institute of Microsystems, aims to support families in scientific daily life.
The office depot, situated in room 422, is equipped with a variety of items to cater to children of all ages. These include baby toys, a play mat, building blocks, painting supplies, puzzles, a Tripp Trapp chair, a foldable bed, and a play sofa. It can be booked via the Outlook calendar, offering flexibility for parents.
TU Brunswick is not the only institution to offer such facilities. The Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg) has also opened a parent-child office 365 within its center for pharmaceutical manufacturing technology. Similar rooms exist in other institutions of both universities, promoting family-friendliness across academic campuses.
The parent-child offices 365 at TU Brunswick and TU Hamburg demonstrate a commitment to supporting families in higher education. These spaces, equipped with age-appropriate toys and furniture, encourage a balance between work and family life. The universities also offer flexible working forms, such as home office and hybrid event formats, further promoting inclusivity.
