Transformed Text: Turning Harmless Sodium for Use at Gymnasium Leopoldinum

The Fire Department of Detmold was called to Leopoldinum High School on Hornsche Straße at 13:35, following a container of sodium that had leaked at the school.

A specialist advisor was consulted during the operation to neutralize the leaked sodium, and the operation was successfully completed after approximately two and a half hours.

The sodium was neutralized by gradually pouring it onto the school's playground under controlled conditions with water. The leaked sodium was slightly moist.

The playground was cordoned off throughout the operation to ensure the safety of students and citizens. The Mitte fire station was alerted to ensure basic protection for the city area during the operation.

The brief, controlled reactions that resulted from the operation rendered the hazardous material harmless, and the leaked sodium did not pose any danger to those in the vicinity.

Dr. Harald Müller, the specialist who assisted in neutralizing the sodium leak, oversaw the operation.
