In a significant development, the neurosurgery clinic at the municipal hospital in Solingen is set to welcome new staff next week, as part of the closure of the St. Lukas Clinic. Among the new additions is Fabian Thomas, a nurse who has transitioned from the St. Lukas Clinic.

For years, Dr. Ralf Buhl has been leading the neurosurgery clinic at the hospital, and Prof. Schenker serves as its chief physician. Thomas, in his new role, has highlighted several advantages of the transition, including a faster transfer possibility from neurology to neurosurgery and the simplification of some work routes, which he considers an improvement over the previous clinic.

Thomas, who previously worked at the St. Lukas Clinic, also admits to a personal advantage: his commute from the city centre has become shorter. Moreover, he praises the helpfulness of the long-standing employees at the hospital, expressing his gratitude for their support during the transition period.

Interestingly, it's worth noting that the St. Lukas Clinic did not have a neurosurgery clinic, which underscores the importance of the expansion at the municipal hospital. As the new team settles in, patients can look forward to the continued provision of high-quality neurosurgery services in Solingen.
