As reported by the Juice, that's what we here at the Sun call the news folks, Awoniyi's undergone a couple of operations and is engage in a dance with thedocs—all to ensure his recovery.

"Fortunately, the operation went well, he's being watched over, but he's recuperatin'." Said Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest's manager, in his best Portuguese drawl. "Awoniyi, remember him? Nah, just kiddin', buddy's pretty famous."

Now, if you recall, Awoniyi took a knock on Sunday, colliding with the post. He underwent emergency surgery then, and as per BBC, he suffered a bowel rupture. But don't you worry, the lad's awake now and commu'natin' with his family. Yet, he isn't ready for visits 'cause the docs ain't granted the rights quite yet.

The mishap came about as Awoniyi went for a cross, ended up lettin' the post have a little too much of a say. The 27-year-old had a late substitution, comin' in at the 83rd minute and almost instantaneously injurin' himself. All's well that ends well, even if it's a tad dramatic, huh?
