This sign displays the daily peak UV value in Saarbrücken and provides information on suitable protective measures.
The sign is based on the internationally recognised UV index, which ranges from one to eleven and indicates the current strength of ultraviolet radiation. Based on the UV index, visitors are advised to take appropriate measures such as using sunscreen, wearing suitable clothing, and seeking shade. An integrated QR code on the sign allows bathers to access the current UV index value and additional information directly on their smartphones.
