Specialized animal emergency vehicles introduced by Animal-Emergency for animal rescues

In the city and countryside of Harburg, a new addition to the community has arrived – an animal emergency ambulance. Animal Emergency, a dedicated organisation, made its presence known in the area back in 2020, and now, they have a new vehicle to aid in their mission.

The new ambulance, funded by a generous donor, replaces the one that had served Animal Emergency since 2020 but was unfortunately scrapped due to old age. The vehicle has been refurbished and equipped specifically for animal use, boasting the same equipment as a normal ambulance but adapted for our furry, feathered, and scaled friends.

The crew of the animal ambulance is composed of volunteers who have undergone professional training as animal emergency paramedics through Animal Emergency's own academy. They are ready to respond to emergencies involving domestic animals, such as dogs, cats, and even house rats.

One-third of the animals transported by Animal Emergency are affected by poisoning, and in addition to sick animals, injured pets are also medically treated and transported. In cases where treatment becomes too difficult, the injured or sick animal is usually transported to Tierklinik Lüneburg, a small animal hospital. For those who cannot visit the vet, there is a vet on call.

The cost for a transport in the animal ambulance is approximately 140 euros. However, if the owner of the injured or sick animal has animal health insurance, the costs for the transport can be covered by the insurance, provided such services are included in the insurance. The new animal ambulance can be requested via the free phone number 0800 111 15 15.

For more detailed information about the historical background and specific services of the Animal Emergency's new animal ambulance in Harburg, it is recommended to consult official local veterinary organisations, municipal announcements, or the organisation’s direct communications (website or press releases).

The new ambulance, equipped specifically for animal use, signifies a significant expansion of health-and-wellness services in Harburg, catering not only to common domesticated animals like dogs, cats, and rats, but also to other creatures in need. The acquisition of this vehicle, funded by a generous donor, marks a notable improvement in the other science of animal care and emergency response provided by Animal Emergency.
