Solingen, Germany - The Social Democratic Party (SPD) is set to host a founding assembly for the Working Group of Social Democrats in Healthcare (ASG) on Thursday, July 24, 2020, at 7:00 PM at the AWO facilities in Ohligs, Solingen. The event, taking place under the motto "Solingen Together," is open to all interested parties, both SPD members and non-members.

The ASG aims to discuss all aspects of health care at various levels of governance, providing a local forum for discussing legislative initiatives and developments in the health care of the Solingen population. The initiative is the brainchild of Holger Höhmann, and the state chairman of the working group, Waldemar Radtke, along with the state parliamentarian, health politician, and SPD mayoral candidate, Josef Neumann, will attend the event.

Manfred Ackermann and Sabine Vischer-Kippenhahn, the co-chairs of the Solingen SPD, are looking forward to the expansion of the ASG. They believe that health policy affects everyone, and it's good that the new working group can fill an important gap locally. Both Radtke and Neumann will speak about their vision of a socially just health policy and the health situation in Solingen.

The event remains scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2020, at 7:00 PM at the AWO facilities in Ohligs, Zweibrücker Straße 7, Solingen. Only SPD members can run for and participate in the planned election for the chair of the working group.

While there is limited information available about the specific purpose, agenda, or potential impact of the ASG, it is clear that the initiative is a response to the need for a comprehensive discussion on health care policy at the local level. The ASG is a thematic working group that discusses all aspects of health care on local, state, and federal levels.
