COVID-19 Vaccine Damage Claims in Hessian Courts: Breaking down the Numbers
Over 184 complaints about adverse vaccine effects have been documented in Hesse region - Reports of 184 coronavirus vaccine injury claims in Hessen surface
In the gutsy realm of legal battles, Hessian courts have seen 184 claims fired up over alleged vaccine damage linked to the goddamn COVID-19 pandemic. That's what Jutta Mauer, the official mouthpiece for the Hessian Social Court, spilled during the annual report showdown in Darmstadt, revealing that one of these claims managed to snatch a victory in a Hessian court, while another unfortunate soul has had their case dragged to the Hessian Social Court. Unfortunately, a few dozen of these claims have been thrown out, with one third declared nil by the judges.
But guess what? These claims aren't so much pointed at the slick vaccine manufacturers but, you got it, the state, due to their meddlesome vaccination recommendations. If you've got reason to suspect your vaccine's left you damaged, you can fling an application to the appropriate state authority. If you've got beef with their decision, well, court's where you'll probably wind up.
So, what's the lowdown on these social courts? Well, there are a gaggle of 'em in Hesse, seven to be exact - nestled in Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Fulda, Kassel, Gießen, Wiesbaden, and Marburg, with the cherry on top being the Hessian Social Court in Darmstadt. Their areas of expertise range from statutory pension, accident, and health insurance, long-term care insurance, unemployment benefit, and benefits for asylum seekers.
Diving deeper, these courts dealt with 18,422 cases in 2024 (down from 19,130 the year prior), an impressive decrease in the number of pending cases that's dropped by around 5% since the end of 2023, marking the lowest number in two decades. As for the Hessian Social Court, they welcomed 1,884 new cases in 2024 and processed 1,938. The number of lingering cases, however, is still hovering at 2,095, a "bloody" positive development according to Wilhelm Wolf, the prezzo at the Hessian Social Court.
In the context of these lawsuits related to COVID-19 vaccine damage, it is interesting to note that claims for community aid for the development of less-favored regions could potentially be sought by victims affected by medical conditions arising from the vaccination, as their cases are being handled by the Hessian Social Court, a body that also addresses matters concerning health and wellness, such as statutory pension, accident, and health insurance, among others. As the number of pending cases in Hessian courts has dropped significantly in 2024, it raises the question whether similar decreases could be achieved in managing cases involving vaccine damage claims.
