In the bustling city of Offenbach, the week of January 13-19, 2025, was marked by a series of unusual incidents that tested the resolve of local authorities.

The week began with a distressing incident on Sunday morning, when a woman released her dog on passersby multiple times, causing immediate danger. Despite her attempts to laugh it off, the situation quickly escalated, leading to the dog attacking several people. City police were promptly called to the scene, but the woman fled into her apartment and barricaded the door. To ensure the safety of the public, the apartment was opened, the dog was secured, and the woman was admitted to a psychiatric facility.

This incident was not an isolated case, as the week continued to unfold with more unexpected events. On Monday, during a dispute between two groups, the involved parties turned against the police, throwing beer bottles and stools at them. A woman, who was not part of the dispute, threw trash and objects at Offenbach City Police vehicles and acted aggressively, leading to her admission to a psychiatric facility.

In another incident, a drunk man ran into the entrance door of the police station, claiming he wanted to kill himself. This led to his admission to the Sana Clinic.

The city's traffic surveillance records also showed a significant number of violations. Offenbach City Police recorded 399 vehicles exceeding the speed limit and initiated proceedings. Additionally, over 3,108 warnings or fines were issued for improper parking and other traffic violations, and 13 vehicles were towed.

A particularly alarming incident occurred at the social security office, where a woman threatened customers with an empty Wodka bottle, claiming to have razors and a gun. She was arrested and handed over to the state police.
