Patrolling the urban landscape under the cover of darkness
In the heart of Astana, the Winox evening run took place near the recently renovated Sana Sport complex, attracting running enthusiasts of all ages. The event, organised by Winox fitness club, was dedicated to the theme "Law and Order. Astana - a city free from drugs".
The sports competition, supported by WinBox as mentioned in a related social media post, recognised the top 3 fastest runners in each segment with small gifts. The run offered distances of 2.5 km and 5 km for adults, and 500 m and 1 km for children aged 7 to 16.
The 2.5 km distance saw Daniyar ZHAKETOV, Darhan SULUYEV, Sungat SAGDOLDANOV, and Maiya ABILOVA emerge as winners. In the men's 5 km race, Bagdat AMEN took the first place, with Darhan KHALIYAROV and Bagdat TAPAEV following closely behind in second and third place, respectively.
In the women's category, Diana ALIYEVA, Moldir AKIMOVA, and Dinara KULUMBETOVA were among the prize-winners. Around 50 participants received commemorative medals for their participation.
Participants ran with neon glowing bracelets on their wrists, adding a vibrant touch to the evening run. The Winox fitness club regularly organises such initiatives, aiming to involve youth and adults in competitions that promote an active lifestyle.
The Sana Sport complex, now featuring a green, spacious park with modern sports infrastructure, provided a fitting backdrop for the event. The fight against drugs was emphasised as a common task, and sport and active lifestyle were highlighted as effective ways in the fight against drugs.
