In a recent social study, almost 82% of mothers and nearly 70% of fathers expressed a sense of life's unfairness in Germany, with retirees reportedly struggling to make ends meet in their golden years. A striking divide emerged between the sexes, with over 60% of mothers strongly believing in gender inequality, a view shared by only 27% of fathers.

We're talking about some serious discrepancies, too! More than half of the mothers surveyed don't think the poor in Germany are well supported, while just under 40% of fathers agree. The differences between single parents and those in partnerships? Well, single parents see things a little differently. For instance, a whopping 84% of single parents view opportunities for kids negatively, compared to only 68% of parents in partnerships. And the security for retirees? It's sources of concern for a staggering 90% of single parents, contrasting with 76% of parents living in partnerships.

This research project saw families across Germany participate in an online survey conducted by the University of Bielefeld last November and December of 2023. Gotta give props to these 1230 families, including 660 little ones and 570 teens, who took the time to share their thoughts.

So, there you have it! Whether you're a mother, father, or just interested in the big picture, it's clear that perceptions of fairness across Germany vary significantly.
