Medical facility, Templiner Medical Center, has responded to the situation.

In the heart of Templin, a significant change took place on Obere Muehlenstraße/Corner Friedrich-Engels-Straße in 1993. The city council approved a project plan that would transform the previously overgrown garden plot into a bustling medical center.

The initiative for this development came from Carola Berlin, the owner of Chestnut Pharmacy. She saw the potential in this central location and envisioned a business, office, and medical complex that would serve the community's needs.

The medical center, which opened its doors on May 20, 1995, quickly became a hub for healthcare services. It houses several medical practices, a pharmacy, a physiotherapy center, a nursing service, and even a Greek restaurant.

The closure of the GDR-era polyclinic in Templin, a point of contact for medical first aid alongside state-run medical practices, had left a void in the city's healthcare landscape. Following the handover of the polyclinic building, many doctors chose to open private practices within the new medical center.

Local residents like Claudia Schroeder from Templin, who does not frequent doctors often, found the medical center convenient. Edeltraud Schilm, a regular participant in "Historical Peekaboo," was glad to solve the not-so-difficult riddle this time, correctly predicting the establishment of the medical center. Rolf Pruetz, Beutel, Klaus Behm, Marlies Born (all from Templin), and the Mittenwalder Ingrid Fritz also made accurate predictions.

Before the medical center was built, the area looked quite desolate, according to Milmersdorfer Klaus Preuß. Now, it stands as a testament to Carola Berlin's vision and the city's commitment to providing quality healthcare services.

For residents like Joachim Kraemer, having a pharmacy within the medical center is practical. His family doctor also has a practice in the same building, making it even more convenient for him.

The authors of "Templin - A Markish City in the Course of Time," Bärbel Makowitz, Eitel Knitter, and Martin Kunze, have chronicled the city's growth and development, including the establishment of the medical center on Obere Muehlenstraße/Corner Friedrich-Engels-Straße.

The medical center in Templin continues to serve the community, providing essential healthcare services and contributing to the city's vibrant and growing landscape.
