Professionals from the Oncological Center at the Municipal Hospital Dresden will grace the event with their expertise, sharing insights on cancer prevention, detection, and innovative therapies. So far, around 1,500 runners have joined "Running against Cancer" in Dresden. 🤝
Lending a hand to ensure this event's success are the Municipal Hospital Dresden, Outdoor Fitness, Dresden City Sports Association e.V., DSC1898 e.V., and the support of the state capital Dresden, all lending their time and resources on a voluntary basis.
The money raised from the event funds various local initiatives. Last year's recipients included the Sonnenstrahl e.V. in Dresden. This year's proceeds will predominantly bolster movement offers for cancer patients, the Saxon Cancer Society's information points in rural areas, and the inaugural family weekend for young families impacted by cancer.
