Marburg Hosts Free Breast Cancer Awareness Events in October
The University City of Marburg is hosting two free events in October to raise awareness about breast cancer and strengthen prevention. The first event is a city walk called 'Octoberwalk', while the second is an information session about breast cancer screening.
The 'Octoberwalk' takes place on October 25, starting at 11 AM at the Aquamar parking lot and ending around 1 PM. Participants are encouraged to wear pink or rose clothing or accessories to show their support. The walk will follow a planned route along the Lahn and through the Marburg city center. No registration is required for this event. Following the walk, an information session about breast cancer screening will be held on October 22 at the UKGM University Hospital. Gynecologists will speak at the session, and there will be an opportunity for questions afterwards. Registration for the information session is required due to limited seating and can be done via email to [email protected] or by phone at (06421) 201-1599.
Both events aim to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection during International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The 'Octoberwalk' provides a visible show of support, while the information session offers valuable insights into breast cancer screening.
