In Hamburg, the majority of the 18 individuals wounded in a knife attack at the main station have since been discharged from hospitals, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the public prosecutor's office. The discharge of two more individuals is reportedly planned but details about the condition of the remaining three remain undisclosed.
While no updates on the psychological aftercare requirements of the injured have been provided, the spokesperson indicated that it is currently impossible to estimate how many of the injured might need such assistance.
The attack, allegedly orchestrated by a 39-year-old woman who had recently been released from a psychiatric hospital, led to 11 people suffering serious injuries and seven with minor wounds on Friday evening. Among the initially critical cases were a 24-year-old man and three women aged 24, 52, and 85. All injured were hastily transferred to hospitals in Hamburg following the incident.
It is known that seven of the injured individuals reside in Hamburg, while four are from Bremen, three from Lower Saxony, and one each from North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, Hesse, and Poland.
Previously, the Hamburg fire service reported that six individuals sustained life-threatening injuries. However, the official police stated that no definitive figures were available for the number of individuals with critical injuries.
