Women from Across the Globe Unite for Global Peace

Get ready, ladies! The International Women's Peace Group (IWPG) is calling on women, regardless of race, religion, or ideology, to join forces for global peace. Mark your calendars for April 26 – International Women's Peace Day!

This ain't just a regular ol' day. It's about encouragement for women peace advocates worldwide to keep pushing for peace, hoping that more and more women will jump on board this life-changing movement. Na Hyeong Jeon, the Secretary General of the IWPG, said it best.

Recent events in the Philippines showed that the IWPG means business. During a commemoration event hosted by Kapalong's local government in Davao del Norte, Jeon and other IWPG officials teamed up with women from various backgrounds to discuss and strategize ways to promote peace.

IWPG wants all women from around the globe to join this peace-promoting squad! In a statement, they called for women to "join hands in the pursuit of peace," and they reckon that bringing IWPG branch managers to the Philippines will spur even more peace initiatives, especially now that they've seen firsthand the peace efforts already underway in the country.

Who's in this amazing squad of peace advocates? Other IWPG officials included Hwi Young Lee, Bitna Lee, Hyeju Park, Cecilia Ao (IWPG Hong Kong branch manager), Cathy Xuan (IWPG Shanghai team leader), and Jiong Xu (IWPG Shanghai member), just to name a few. Local IWPG officials from Kapalong, graduates of the Peace Lecturer Training Education (PLTE), wives of pastors from the Moral Recovery Program (MRP), and other peace advocates from LGU-Kapalong also jumped on the peace train.

The IWPG's mission is to unite women across the world who share a motherly heart and a desire to protect the lives of their children and future generations. This organization is an international non-governmental organization with special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), working tirelessly to find solutions for all conflicts and wars and establish a sustainable world of peace.

If you're keen to learn more about the IWPG's initiatives in the Philippines or simply want to connect with like-minded women for peace, be sure to follow @iwpg_hq on social media! Let's spread the message of peace together!
