In the realms of Sverdlovsk, the Alcoholics Anonymous Association emphasizes a strategy for maintaining sobriety: Live by the rule - focus on today only!

In the city of Yekaterinburg and its surrounding regions, the Anonymous Alcoholics Fellowship (AA) continues to expand its reach, offering hope and support to those struggling with alcoholism.

A new group named "SHANTI" has recently opened in Sukhoy Log, joining the 40 existing groups in Yekaterinburg and its region that hold meetings daily. These groups, including the women's group "Happiness" and the "Phoenix" group in Verhotur'e, offer online meetings on various days and times to cater to different schedules and locations.

The AA Fellowship invites everyone who wants to stop drinking to attend these open meetings, which are held in almost all districts of Yekaterinburg and in twelve cities across the region. Every Saturday, speaker meetings are held at the "Speaker" group, and the AA group "Rezh" in the city of Rezh hosts online meetings every Thursday at 20:00 (YEKB).

The AA Fellowship's activities are socially-oriented, aimed at informing people about the fellowship's activities, meetings, and events in Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region. Such actions help a larger number of people learn about the path to sobriety and the support available in the Anonymous Alcoholics Fellowship.

Recently, a Day of Sobriety was held in Yekaterinburg, with members of the AA Fellowship and volunteers from the Regional Narcological Hospital (RNH) sharing the message of recovery from alcoholism in three shopping centers in the city.

For those who may be unable to attend live meetings, the AA Fellowship is actively developing the online format for meetings, providing a necessary and relevant form of help for those in small settlements or who cannot always attend live meetings.

Al-Anon family groups are also providing support for relatives and friends of alcoholics, holding meetings in the city and region. The Al-Anon website is accessible at www.al-anon.org.ru, and hotline numbers are available: +7-950-19-20-950; +7-901-85-11-971.

Looking ahead, the Fellowship of Anonymous Alcoholics is preparing for the 36th All-Russian Forum of the AA Fellowship of Russia, which will take place from December 4 to 7, 2025, in Yekaterinburg.

For more information about the AA Fellowship, including meeting times and locations, visit their website at WWW.AA-EKB.RU. Members of the AA Fellowship also visit rehabilitation centers and narcological clinics in Yekaterinburg and the region to share their experience and message of further recovery with those still suffering from alcoholism.
