Hospital network Miracell introduces South Korea's inaugural generative AI voice system
Korea's First Generative AI Voice System for Hospitals Debuts in Asia
Miracell, a Korean stem cell research company, has introduced a groundbreaking AI-powered voice consultation system for medical institutions across Asia. This innovative technology, positioned as Korea's first generative AI-based voice system for hospitals, marks a significant stride in the Asian healthcare sector.
Launched in July 2025, the system uses natural language processing to provide 24-hour conversational support for tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing inquiries, patient reminders, and general questions. It proves particularly effective during nights and weekends when staffing is limited.
The system, co-developed with the Europe-based AI company Vee, is customized for the Korean language and clinical context. Miracell has secured exclusive distribution rights for this AI voice solution across Asia and is collaborating with Vee Korea to tailor the system for local hospitals. Hospitals can trial the system free for one month, encouraging adoption.
The application of generative AI in healthcare aims to dramatically improve service quality and is seen by Miracell as a strategic necessity for the industry’s future. A future version will integrate this AI voice system with Miracell’s Celldoc platform, consolidating patient consultations, appointments, and treatment records into a unified interface. This could substantially enhance the responsiveness and intelligence of healthcare service delivery.
Currently, the system is being introduced initially in clinics already using Miracell’s Smart-MCell platform, with plans for broader rollout across the Asian healthcare market. The combination of stem cell expertise and cutting-edge AI positions Miracell as a potential leader in transforming healthcare automation and patient-caregiver interaction in the region.
Shin Hyun-soon, CEO of Miracell, stated that generative AI can significantly enhance service quality in medical care. While direct metrics on the system's impact are yet to be seen, as it is at a relatively early phase of deployment and adoption as of July 2025, the secured exclusive rights and integration plans imply strong potential influence on improving hospital operational efficiency and patient experience across Asia.
The adoption of this generative AI voice system in hospitals, a collaboration between Miracell and Vee, is set to revolutionize health-and-wellness in Asia, particularly in handling medical-conditions and appointment scheduling. As a part of Miracell's vision, this technology aims to leverage artificial-intelligence to elevate service quality within the healthcare sector, ultimately fostering a more efficient and responsive Asian healthcare market.
