Weekly social gathering in Frankfurt for solitary individuals at Babbel-Net's Stammtisch - Full-time offer from Babbel Nett specifically for solitary individuals in Frankfurt

In the heart of Frankfurt, Germany, a significant community initiative named the "Babbel-Nett-Stammtisch" is making a difference. This moderated, free-to-attend event series, spearheaded by the Bürgerinitiative "Gemeinsam gegen Einsamkeit" (Together Against Loneliness), is designed to help individuals break free from loneliness and re-engage in conversations.

The meetings are open to all who feel isolated, and the focus is on positive topics. Participants hail from diverse backgrounds, including single mothers, foreign skilled workers, entrepreneurs, architects, retired personnel managers, and individuals who have cared for their partners until their death, among others.

The initiative takes place three times a week at three different locations across Frankfurt:

  1. Thursday Evenings at "freiraum" (Oeder Weg) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: This moderated meeting features rotating themes and no registration is required.
  2. The other two meetings take place at the Begegnungs- und Servicezentrum Melange am Römer and the Café Mal Seh'n (Adlerflychtstraße).

In addition to the weekly Stammtisch, the initiative also organizes other activities such as group dancing and hiking to facilitate the formation of new connections and friendships.

The initiative was founded in Frankfurt in 2021 during the Corona period and the first Stammtisch began in 2022. Since then, it has grown to become a crucial point of contact for people seeking social connections. The meetings foster social interaction and boost self-confidence and communication skills among participants.
