Five Children Hospitalized in Carbon Monoxide Leak at Almaty Public Bath

Five kids were hospitalized after a carbon monoxide leak at a public bath and body care center in Almaty. The incident occurred when the kids and their parents were locked inside the bath and body care center's steam room. A worker from a nearby shop rescued them by opening the door.

The incident was caused by a faulty chimney in the bath and body care center. The owner, Bauyrzhan Jarmanov, is responsible for maintaining the gas equipment. Despite recommendations, gas leak detectors were not installed or functioning properly. The kids, aged three to unknown, were taken to the hospital with moderate conditions. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The bath and body care center has been temporarily closed, and its operations have been suspended.

The public bath and body care center in Almaty, owned by Bauyrzhan Jarmanov, is under scrutiny for the carbon monoxide leak. Proper maintenance and functioning safety equipment could have prevented the incident. The investigation aims to determine the cause and ensure safety measures are in place before reopening.
