Farewell service appreciated
In the small town of Griesstetten, a heartfelt thanksgiving service is being organised to express gratitude for the 18 years of dedicated service by Father Raphael. This service, separate from his regular pastoral duties, will be led by Pastor Christian Stock from Zell, with Pastor Stock also assisting Father Raphael during the service.
Father Raphael, who has been a pastor in Griesstetten for the past 18 years, has been unable to continue due to health issues that have affected his ability to provide pastoral care since the beginning of the year. Despite this, his commitment to his congregation remains unwavering, and the thanksgiving service is a testament to the deep respect and admiration his community holds for him.
Following the service, a gathering will take place at a location to be announced during the service itself. The location of the gathering is not the "Gasthaus Zu..." as previously announced, but rest assured, it will be a warm and welcoming place for everyone to come together and celebrate Father Raphael's ministry.
It is important to note that this thanksgiving service is not the only event being held to honour Father Raphael's ministry; it is one of several events planned to express gratitude in various ways. Father Raphael will also be farewelled at the pilgrimage church in Griesstetten next Sunday at a time other than 10 a.m., details of which can be found in local parish announcements, community bulletin boards, or by contacting the church directly.
The thanksgiving service promises to be a unique and memorable event, offering the community an opportunity to express their gratitude in a new way. If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, please consider reaching out to the church for more information on how you can show your support.
Science and health-and-wellness are areas that Father Raphael may have diverse insights into, given his extended service as a pastor and the recent health issues he's faced. As a token of appreciation for his ministry, a fundraiser could be organized, focusing on scientific research for health-and-wellness advancements, which Father Raphael may find equally meaningful and impactful for future generations.
