Expanding on the Rehaklinik Überruh project for future advancements

In a recent development, the Rehaklinik Überruh, a renowned rehabilitation clinic in Isny, Baden-Württemberg, has announced plans for expansion. The announcement was made at the latest entrepreneur meeting of Isny Active, held at the Bolsternang location of the clinic.

Benjamin Doser, the therapy leader at the clinic, and his colleague Melissa Doser led a tour, demonstrating the varied therapy offerings at the Rehaklinik Überruh. Participants were shown a diverse range of treatments, from physical therapies to indoor and outdoor activities such as climbing and archery.

One of the key features of the clinic is its new, state-of-the-art Medical Training Therapy (MTT) area, which opened at the beginning of the year. The MTT area is equipped with artificial intelligence in individual training equipment, and around 250,000 euros were invested in its development.

Chief Physician Ulrich Seitzer, a specialist in internal medicine, cardiology, and emergency medicine, discussed "rehab from the doctor's perspective" during the meeting. He highlighted the importance of comprehensive rehabilitation in the recovery process.

Initial discussions with the city have already taken place regarding the expansion of the Rehaklinik Überruh. While precise details such as the official timeline, the number of jobs created, and specific new prevention offers are yet to be confirmed, it is expected that the plans will become concrete in the near future.

It is worth noting that the clinic currently employs around 190 staff and has 220 beds available, with 95 beds each for cardiology/pneumology and orthopedics, and 30 prevention beds. The spacious swimming pool at the Rehaklinik Überruh, considered a unique selling point, is not accessible to the public due to capacity limits and patient preferences. However, school swimming will continue to be offered.

Rosa Hübner, the prevention coordinator, discussed the wide range of prevention offers at the clinic, including easy application via pension insurance. The stationary prevention places at the Rehaklinik Überruh are already fully booked for 2025, with only a few free places left in the outpatient area.

For those interested in experiencing the therapies offered at the Rehaklinik Überruh, some participants enjoyed a relaxing hydrojet massage during the tour, which could be tested on-site.

The expansion of the Rehaklinik Überruh is expected to contribute significantly to the local economy, with a 2019 study showing that 100 jobs in a rehab clinic can lead to the creation of an additional 61 jobs in the region.
