Emergency Air Rescue receive updated guidance for disaster situations by experts

In the face of the rising frequency of disasters, ADAC Air Rescue is stepping up its preparations. Based in Germany, ADAC Air Rescue is a leading provider of air rescue services, with Frédéric Bruder at the helm as CEO.

ADAC Air Rescue specialists play a crucial role in disaster scenarios, offering advice on the deployment of rescue helicopters and coordinating resources. These specialists work from crisis centers, making quick and well-coordinated decisions to ensure the best possible care and safety for those in distress and the rescuers.

This week, ADAC Air Rescue is conducting training exercises in Munich and the Alps. The focus is on complex mission training, including various cable winch maneuvers and medical rescue simulations. The training will take place primarily on a company site near the port of Stade, Germany, from Monday to Thursday.

The 'Hungry Wolf' deployment planning of rescue helicopters, implemented by ADAC for a year, is also part of these exercises. This unique planning strategy aims to ensure swift and effective responses to emergencies.

ADAC Air Rescue specialists are not limited to their own operations. They provide advice on the deployment of rescue helicopters during emergencies, even from other rescue service organizations. Last month, an ADAC Air Rescue specialist advisor participated in a large-scale exercise titled 'Zeus' in the Cottbus Spreeauenpark.

The floods in the Ahr Valley and Southern Bavaria have underscored the importance of preparedness. ADAC Air Rescue specialists can reach the deployment site in less than five hours once alerted. They can also support command staff for extended periods, such as days or even weeks, as needed.

In addition to disaster situations, ADAC Air Rescue specialists also offer their expertise for large events like sports events, providing medical coverage to ensure the safety of all participants.

ADAC Air Rescue has established its Air Rescue specialists to provide concentrated expertise for the rescue of people in distress. Emergency medical technicians or pilots of ADAC Air Rescue, who are shift or unit leaders in the fire brigade or organizational leaders of the rescue service, can serve as specialists.

The advisory service of ADAC Air Rescue specialists is free of charge, ensuring that expert advice is accessible to all in need. As disasters become more frequent, the role of ADAC Air Rescue in providing swift, effective, and coordinated responses becomes increasingly vital.
