Electric Bike and Pedal-Assist Bicycle Riding Instruction
On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, a traffic safety training for e-bikes and pedelecs is scheduled to take place in Euskirchen. This event, organized by the Seniors in Euskirchen (SIE), the Traffic Accident Prevention Department of the local police, and Kraftrad, aims to promote safe and responsible use of these vehicles among seniors.
The training will commence at 2:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM. Registration is mandatory and can be done with Claudia Aulmann at the Seniorenbüro of Euskirchen. You can reach her by phone at 02251/14-222 or by email at the provided address.
The session will consist of both a theoretical introduction and practical exercises. The practical exercises will be conducted on the schoolyard of the Emil-Fischer-Gymnasium. Participants are encouraged to bring their own e-bikes and protective gear, but helmets will be provided for those without their own, courtesy of Oliver Bussmann from Kraftrad.
During the training, potential hazards will be highlighted, and participants will practice safe mounting and dismounting, riding, and associated peculiarities. The training is free of charge and open to a minimum of 8 participants.
This training is an excellent opportunity for seniors to enhance their knowledge and skills related to e-bike and pedelec safety. Don't miss out on this chance to learn, improve, and ride safely!
