Donations exceed 100,000 euros for the children affected after the femicide incident in Osnabrück Schinkel
In the heart of Osnabrück, a fundraising campaign led by neighbors has gathered over 100,000 euros for victims of domestic violence, thanks to the work of Caritas. The charity drive, titled 'Support for the children in Schinkel', has been a beacon of hope for those affected by this devastating issue.
The funds raised will be used to provide immediate aid, emergency shelters, and further support needs, including psychosocial counseling, education for children, and ongoing stabilisation for those affected. Caritas, in collaboration with various local organisations, aims to offer help and protection to victims of domestic violence.
Maren Wilmes, managing director of the Caritas Association for the city and district of Osnabrück, expressed her gratitude towards the donors for their immense support. She described the willingness of people to help the affected children as remarkable and touching.
Domestic violence is not an isolated case. Every fourth woman experiences it in different forms. It is a pressing issue that requires collective action and support.

Additionally, the Stiftung Opferhilfe Niedersachsen collaborates with local groups like the WEISSER RING and receives support from community initiatives such as the Motorcycle Clubs e.V.
