We've also seen 71 cases among remote learners, with 240 contacts identified, and 15 of them testing positive."
The Minister pointed out that if all education was offline, the number of potential contacts would've ballooned to at least 1,500 people, likely resulting in more illness among students, teachers, and family members. "So, it's crucial for the local authorities, or 'akims', to enforce strict adherence to sanitary and disinfection measures, mask-wearing, class capacity limits, and other COVID-19 preventive measures in schools," Tsoi emphasized.
Earlier reports revealed that six schoolkids caught the coronavirus in Nur-Sultan.
