Children's Accompaniment Strategy Launched for Families of World War II Participants in Yakutia
In the chilly expanses of Yakutia, a psycho-pedagogical support system for students hailing from families associated with the special military operation has rolled out, encompassing every stage of education, from kindergarten to professional programs. Tatiana Aleshina, Deputy Director of the Republican Methodological Center for Psycho-Pedagogical Support, divulged this new development during a June 9 briefing.
Aiming to create a secure and conducive educational environment for them, this system provides consistent care to children and adolescents requiring special attention. As per Aleshina, there are 9,139 students in Yakutia whose families are linked to the special military operation, including 2,517 preschoolers, 5,593 schoolchildren, and 1,029 university students, with 394 attending universities and 635 attending higher professional institutions. Additionally, 12 special military operation participants and 52 spouses of servicemen are enrolled as students.
The support system is being implemented in close collaboration with teachers, psychologists, and social services, ensuring rapid response to family requests and delivering tailored assistance to each child. According to Aleshina, "We aim to construct a personalized support pathway for these students, considering their psychological traits, educational requirements, and family circumstances."
