Athletic influencer Nicole Brenda Santos Marins meets fatal end upon collision with vehicle, subsequently struck by a truck in a grim accident
In a tragic turn of events, 28-year-old fitness influencer and personal trainer, Nicole Brenda Santos Marins, lost her life in a three-vehicle collision on a motorway in Palhoca, Brazil. The horrifying accident occurred on the BR-101 road, in Greater Florianópolis.
Marins was riding her Honda Biz motorcycle when she hit a parked Fiat Doblo on the hard shoulder of the motorway. The Fiat Doblo, which had stopped due to mechanical problems, was being driven by a 31-year-old individual who was unharmed in the accident. After the collision, Marins was flung off her motorcycle and landed in the middle of the motorway.
A large vehicle then ran over Marins and proceeded to drive off without offering help. The name of the driver of the large truck has not been publicly disclosed.
Nicole Marins was a well-known figure in her community, working at a local gym in the Praia de Fora neighborhood. She had 3,200 followers on Instagram and was known for posting pictures of her friends and family. Marins also taught online classes and had thousands of Instagram followers. In her Instagram bio, she wrote that she inspires "women to become their best selves".
Rescuers believe that Marins and her partner, Alisson Cravo, died after losing control of their vehicle while driving through rough terrain in the mountains near Trout Lake in British Colombia, Canada. Alisson Cravo paid tribute to Marins on social media following her tragic death, describing her as "a wonderful mother" and "a woman of value".
The probe into the exact circumstances of Nicole Marins' death is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, another tragic incident occurred involving YouTube stars Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans. The couple, who were behind the Toyota World Runners YouTube channel, died when their off-road car plunged 650ft down a mountain. Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans had amassed over 200,000 subscribers and more than 72,000 Instagram followers.
