Application Invitation - 12-month Postdoctoral Position - TIERED ExcellencES Initiative - Sciences Po & INED
Sciences Po and the French Institute for Demographic Studies (INED) have announced the launch of a postdoctoral fellowship as part of the TIERED ExcellencES project. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers early-career researchers the chance to conduct research at the intersection of social sciences and demographic studies, focusing on environmental transformations and social factors.
The fellowship is open to applicants who have recently obtained a PhD in a relevant field, with a strong research potential and a track record aligned with the fellowship themes. The research can be centred around one of two themes:
- The links between work, digital technology, and health.
- The relationship between the environment and family behaviour.

Qualifications for the fellowship include good knowledge of digital or environmental sciences, as well as the capacity for interdisciplinary research linking social sciences, demography, environment, digital technology, and health. The successful candidate will be selected based on scientific merit, ability to mobilize transdisciplinary interest, and dynamic involvement in Sciences Po and INED research centers.
In addition to conducting the proposed research program, the successful candidate will be responsible for presenting findings, proposing joint activities, and using up to 10% of their time to disseminate previous research findings.

Eligibility
- Candidates must hold a PhD in social sciences and humanities, completed within 5 years from the application date (April 15, 2020 - April 14, 2025).

Required Skills

Remuneration
- The remuneration for the fellowship is approximately €2,900 gross per month.
Contract Details
- The contract duration is for 12 months, starting on September 1, 2025.
- Interviews with shortlisted candidates will be held in May 2025.
